It’s very fun building it. Unfortunately the box did not have wax in it. Gears are not turning smoothly, it needs lubrication. I can use other lubricants to solve the problem. However the instructions clearly mentions that wax is included, but it is not in the box. A big miss.

I love the build, just not happy since it doesn’t move due to the gears jamming. I have taking it apart to see what was causing the problem. It is the gear group that is to move the center wheels, without those everything else works fine. So what can be the problem? Anyone have any thoughts as a fix to this?

Just finished, and I absolutely loved building this. The accuracy of the laser cutting is phenomenal and the engineering behind it is very impressive. Works as stated, though I’m leery of winding it too tight and possibly breaking the spring support. I received the clock also for Christmas, and can’t wait to get started. Quick tip; a sliver of soap can be used in lieu of wax.

No wax that was suppose to be in the kit. Doesn’t move as well as it should since the gears keep jamming.

Great looking piece after it is built. Everything works like it is suppose to. Lot’s of fun building. More challenging than Legos. Will be doing more. First time to build wooden mechanical puzzles.

looks like more fun.
